When AI isn't delivering on expectations

Their limitation to  this  could be predominant and the fact that they can only artificially provide with data which was practically fed from third-party sources without any initiative to find, associate and use the most updated account. Presently, AI is definitely a little farther than what search engines could do when giving out information. Although, AI seemed to have changed how search engines deal with data entirely.  Their large language models, unless prudently orchestrated either by AI or human, or hybrid entities, we shall say that, we'll continue to see their performance, in such context, to be stillborn or lagging, if not full of primitive suggestions and information which can be useful, somehow, to the humans. In the meantime, the original source and those with firsthand information, if still around, shall be sought out.

Critical elements of IT infrastructure, software as well as IoT

We have to admit. The business of IT is business. Everytime we refer to IT we are definitely talking, working and managing on business infrastructure.  The critical elements of business infrastructure that is the subject of this blog post must be dealt with caution from the prospect and vista of, most especially in organization where responsibility purely lies on, technology leader and its team. Of course, vendors must be concerned as well for business sake but it's not really their main job to do so. This is significant where technology team must translate business needs to business operating reality. With their vendors, and external advisor, if any, technical team must remain circumspect and do whatever they have to in order to determine that their next move is all about enabling their company's business. This must be a clear focus. Technical team then must have been able to exhaust the existing capabilities of their technology and what else they can make to improve its state...

Philippine telcos blocking entire SMS text with internet addresses in it

If you are sending SMS texts to your friends, family or colleagues and they contain internet or web address including IP and email addresses, and even a period or dot separating, regardless of, your words and numbers, they are automatically blocked and not going to be received by your waiting recipient. Cooler heads must prevail here especially if an important message is urgently being expected. IP version 6 address is fine. However, an IPv4 including localhost address (given automatically to every computers and network interfaces as their own alone designed for troubleshooting purposes), and your money in the billion figure using dot as separators would be blocked.  If you send "local.business, naman.naman etcetera" or any words that made you use dot in between them, as part of the text, they will be blocked. There are some, that isn't blocked in this category. Like check.iclassed, some.ent, whatever.local etcetera, that is because they do not form any domain name at all...

Online information provided for stakeholders' consumption

It must relay the true meaning and real application necessary in the physical world. We have probably all experience how to learn first thing about our plans before we go ahead and act. Like for instance, when we order something online, attend to some responsibilities for our organizations, communicate with people via video, chat and email including but not limited to asking stakeholders, very politely and sincerely, if there's anything else we can do to help further. This online environment must make us work to facilitate and relay exactly what we expect and do in the physical world. What the online information is telling us should be enough to readily make a decision and act accordingly. This is especially true when people have to do it themselves, read relevant information and will go there, say store, or anywhere else, to perform the chores required.  We cannot provide information online, when customers expect them to be a guideline or instruction to do something, that we know ...

Privacy Impact Assessment

Do you know what makes a Privacy Impact Assessment effective? Organizations doing privacy impact assessment or PIA must make sure that their language and questioning is directed to the party which they required both practical (meaning completeness of processes being utilized) and truthful answer from. If the PIA itself was designed and developed collectively by business, technology, legal and compliance practitioners putting every relevant element as a subject of business objectives, which doesn't tolerate counterproductive actions, then one might say, it's really hard to do this but then it would conclude and it's the best way to get into it really. No guilty feelings. It's what the people really would experience which is considerably good and ultimately the organization's safety is better emplaced in the face of the searing cyberspace. A PIA that's entirely an initiative of inexperience practitioner or a beginner in the job would show its shallowness and that ...

HTTP Strict Transport Security strict browser processing or bug prevention or what?

Having a different internet browser makes handy for people whose job is to make sure any web service or application, and their behavior, would not fail before and after making any changes, or upgrade. In our definition, it is that it would not fail regardless of methods, not the geeky ones and without harm of course, applied to access, in a regular way, a resource designed and made available to the public. We think that premise, which is to "make sure it will work, somehow a little better", characteristic of our work @𝖎𝖈𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖉, is true to any technology designed for use mainstream but which this post is toned or using such example, specifically. Do you know what causes a browser to process a web service or application like this in the image? We would see it is due to an HSTS, primarily, not being processed or some bug prevented to load by, in here we have, Microsoft Edge Dev browser where a notice is produced. Then it could be that, with other browsers, this is not at...

iPhone 6s devices, longest to receive operating system updates

The recent release of iOS 15.5 to iPhone 6s is not a surprise to owners as they may have known it from last year when it was announced that iOS 15 will still be available for these devices. Indeed, the longest software update , according to The Verge, for a smartphone. If you are one of those who still hold dear such device, kept and taken care of with the same shiny look when it was bought, not a mat and scratch allowed on the surface, you would know that there had been one single major issue as you are about to run the update. Not enough storage.  In order to get past storage limit, you'd delete apps and data until it already has the minimum space to continue the update. A factory reset is inevitable to others, due to the fact that even after deleting all data including big multimedia files, it is still deficient of storage space.  Don't forget to backup your most treasured data though, before deleting all content or resetting the entire system, to other devices such as your...

How functional and secure AES is

How functional and secure AES is? The Philippine electorate will once again go to polls and decide who will lead the nation in the next six years of their lives. This important event which will elect new president, vice president and 12 senators for national posts, and seats are also being contested for provincial, city and municipal levels, is expected to be counted unofficially in 24 hours, concluded or canvassed officially in a few days or so but authorities and observers expected it to be done in less than a week. Last presidential election, it was known three days after close of election precincts. This is especially true for nation states, not only the Philippines, that conducts their elections using automated election or computerized-and-networked voting systems. In PH, the past automated elections were encumbered with technical issues and fraudulent results, uttered and written everywhere by many concerned and affected individuals and institutions alike. This time, we could say...

Basic idea of strategy in the 𝖎* of 𝖎𝖈𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖉, cyber and TICO as a whole

Organization can impress upon with different tasks and responsibilities being attended to regularly by its stakeholders thereby gaining the upper hand in its production relative to smaller ones or individuals with limited workforce, and in a relentless aim a strategy of smaller entities cannot even be subdued, as history would suggest, by the greater ones. Productions caused by technology may not be affected by the number in human resources running it for a very good reason. It is entirely dependent on technology capacity with a leaders’ know-how on the business objective. With strategy, which can be mustered differently in many situations and environment and where the size of the organization is necessarily not a repute is especially true in TICO, most evidently in the area of operational technology with its increasing reliance on data especially nowadays. This is apprehended by those who has organization’s or top decision-maker's responsibility, mostly with leadership position se...

How do we see security and privacy in the enterprise

Enterprise system, infrastructure, data, services, distinct roles, operating functions and management controls have built in basic security and privacy capabilities. Whether or not it is a mandate, which is usually assured and backed by business conduct and applicable policies, security and privacy have to be utilized and configured correctly to suit the needs of the entire organization not just a particular scope or business unit. Security and privacy attack vectors and velocity have never been so dynamic and logistical opportunity is not a burden at all nowadays. There has to be an unwavering disposition on security and privacy initiative. Regardless of industry setting, security and privacy must remain a foothold mechanism by the technology at large. Security can be designed and deployed to prevent incidents and malicious intents toward technology and data. Technology and data are complementary on purpose and they can be tightened, not restricted, not only by making sure their built...

Progressive web applications

Just another way to make life easier in a technology environment.  If you have been using internet browsers for your business applications i.e. ERP and technology platforms i.e. webmail, and it becomes tiring to go to your bookmarks every time, worse if you are still typing the URL for every website you visit repeatedly, then PWA may just be the answer for that. PWA works with any general purpose computers like Windows, MacOS and Linux and with your mobile devices, too. When you are in mobile and having a hard time finding the PWA setup, simply switch to desktop screen and do it from there.  How about if I already have dedicated applications and I don't necessarily used internet browsers? There is nothing we can do if there is no other way to do your work except for using the given application. In other cases like mail clients i.e. Outlook and Thunderbird, when your connection is rough you might want to try using PWA. Applications like mail clients are heavier compared t...
